Manchester United legend David de Gea has had "several options on the table" amid dropping cryptic hints about his future in football, according to stunning reports.

David de Gea, who lifted a Premier League title with Manchester United in 2013, became a free agent last July after he ended his 12-year stay at Old Trafford.

The 33-year-old Spaniard was reportedly keen to sign a new contract at United and was prepared to take a pay cut in a bid to extend his stay at Old Trafford.

However, talks over a new deal broke down in 2023 and De Gea was allowed to leave the Red Devils after his 12 seasons at United.

Erik ten Hag was reunited with former Ajax shot-stopper Andre Onana in 2023, with the Cameroon international succeeding De Gea as United No 1.
