Manchester United are waiting on two potential departures this week but may be left hanging on for one player to make a big decision.
The transfer deadline is now less than 48 hours away and Manchester United have some deals to wrap up.
Hannibal Mejbri has finalised his move to Burnley and Scott McTominay will join Napoli before the deadline.
It's a case of two midfielders out and one in for United as Manuel Ugarte finalises his move to Old Trafford.
The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder underwent a medical with United on Wednesday and should be a new Red Devil soon.
United may not bring anybody else in but one more player is at the centre of a potential exit this week.
MORE UNITED STORIES
Sancho has been restored to United training this summer after a rather infamous spat with Erik ten Hag last season.
After spending the second half of last season with Borussia Dortmund, Sancho is back with United once again.
Sancho hasn't been involved against Fulham or Brighton and Hove Albion though, sparking rumours of a move away.
Reports on Wednesday suggested that United had agreed a deal with Juventus which would see Sancho move to Turin on loan with an option to buy.
Chelsea are also keen though as they fancy swapping Raheem Sterling for Sancho in a remarkable exchange.
The Guardian now claim that Sancho is actually holding out for an offer from Chelsea.
Sancho is seemingly ready to wait and wait for Chelsea to make their move before committing to joining Juventus.
It's no surprise to see Sancho picking Chelsea as his preference; he has previously admitted supporting Chelsea as a kid.
Enzo Maresca on Sancho This won't be an easy deal for Chelsea to pull off.
The Blues may need a swap deal to facilitate the transfer and United aren't exactly desperate for Chelsea's cast-offs.
Chelsea continue to sign players and just weeks after signing Pedro Neto, they are in for another winger in Sancho.
Maresca has now commented on a potential move for Sancho, telling Football London that he is well aware of Sancho's quality.
"I said that if we have to sign a player just for signing, I don't want," said Maresca. "But if we can sign a player who can help us, for sure I want. Jadon is not our player. I know Jadon very well from many years with City. I know him very well. But he is not our player. We will see what happens," he added.
Maresca and Sancho never actually crossed paths at Manchester City; by the time Sancho had left the club for Dortmund in 2017, Maresca was still three years away from joining the City coaching staff.
The Italian may have simply kept close tabs on Sancho from afar and, if Chelsea can come up with offer to tempt United, he may well be coaching the winger in just a couple of days.
