If the deadline was 24 hours ago, United would have concluded it by then. This has just taken a little extra time, purely because there is the extra time to play with.

Sekou Kone in Another player was undergoing a medical at Manchester United this week, Mali youth international wonderkid Sekou Kone.

Kone, 18, will initially go into United's under-21 side, with a view to stepping up. United are paying just PS1 million for his signature.
