United slash Sancho asking price again in desperate last-minute attempt to sell him - report
Source:The Peoples

1 Manchester United have drastically lowered their asking price for Jadon Sancho heading into the final hours of the transfer deadline.

Erik ten Hag included Sancho in his pre-season plans after a lengthy exile, and according to a report from The Telegraph, the versatile forward 'looked lively' during pre-season training session in Los Angeles.

Regardless, United have been open to listening to suitable offers for the Englishman all summer. In June, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming United have slapped a PS40 million price tag on the silky winger. So far, United have yet to receive any bid closer to that figure.

By excluding Sancho from his matchday squad for his side's opening two Premier League games, Ten Hag has underlined the 24-year-old has no future in his Old Trafford project.

The situation has intensified United's attempts to get rid of the ex-Manchester City youth talent before the ongoing summer window shuts.

According to The Athletic, the club's hierarchy prefers to permanently sell Sancho, who they now value at a mere PS25m.

This would represent a PS48m loss on the PS73m fee they committed to paying for his services in 2021.

Further, United, who sent the player on loan to Dortmund in January, also remain prepared to open the exit door for another temporary stint.

Both Chelsea and Juventus have expressed interest in his services during the final week of the window, and it is claimed other suitors "could always emerge" before Friday's deadline.

Late on Thursday night, reports from Italy claimed Juventus have pulled out of the race for the England international due to financial constraints.

As such, Chelsea appear to be the most likely destination for Sancho if he departs Old Trafford. It is thought the Blues are interested in signing the player in a permanent deal.

Further, while Juventus were in the race, Sancho was believed to be still holding out for a move to the London outfit.
