The Reds carried a threat, with Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes each striking the crossbar at different points in the contest but the hosts also looked dangerous in moments.

Ultimately, the sides cancelled each other out and one United player in particular outshone his team-mates when it came to our fans voting for their Man of the Match.

Scroll down to see the results of our post-game poll and find out who was the best-performing Red at Villa Park, according to our supporters.

Jonny Evans started the clash alongside Harry Maguire at the heart of our defence and the 36-year-old rolled back the years with a stalwart display, giving Ollie Watkins very few chances and then latterly second-half substitute Jhon Duran after he joined the fray.

Jonny put in a series of important blocks and was a towering presence in our backline throughout.

The only other Red to achieve double figures was Andre Onana, who was a steady pair of hands behind our defence and made some smart saves in the contest.

Despite the appreciation for our keeper, who was recently named as the Reds Player of the Month for September, it was Evans who was comfortably the Man of the Match in this one.

Well done, Jonny!
