Alan Shearer says 'really impressive' Man Utd ace vs Brentford should be like that every week

Manchester United have ended their Premier League misery with a much needed win against Brentford.

Erik ten Hag will be a massively relieved man following Saturday's ficture, where the Red Devils once again went into the break under the cosh following a towering Ethan Pinnock header.

That was until an Alejandro Garnacho volley levelled things, and then a Rasmus Hojlund dink put United in the ascedensy.

United had some good performers vs Brentford, but there were a few standouts. That includes the match-winner - who impressed pundits with his showing against the Bees.

"The positives today were without a doubt the front three in Garnacho, Rashford and Hojlund," Shearer begins.

"I thought they more than played their part and were a constant threat for large parts of the game. They linked up well, getting their shots away at goal. I thought Hojlund was really impressive.

"A lot of times having to do the dirty work and holding defenders off. It allowed the other two to play a more forward role."

Shearer then gave an analysis of Hojlund's Ruud van Nistelrooy-esque finish - but was insistent that he should be douing this every week in the Premier League.

He continued: "Hojlund deserved this goal because of his work rate, the flick from Bruno [Fernandes] is sublime. But that is a really clever finish. Still got a lot to do.

"This will do wonders for his confidence, his first goal of the Premier League season, but that has to be on a regular basis now."

Hojlund must keep his form up, Garnacho and Rashford will help This trio should be a formidable one moving forward. It has fantastic balance, and if they're all playing to a high standard, it makes Ten Hag's Manchester United squad look really dangerous in attack.

Hojlund will be extremely beneficial with some integral games comig up for the Red Devils.

"All of us in the front clicked very well," Hojlund told MUTV after the final whistle.

"It was very good to play with all the lads from the beginning at Old Trafford, I've really missed it."

After finally seeming to shake off the full extent to the injury - it appears Hojlund is now back to his best. Long may it continue.
