Joshua Zirkzee's stance on Man Utd exit in January with £36.5m move under scrutiny

Joshua Zirkzee is not interested in leaving Manchester United in the January transfer window, despite reports linking him with a move to Juventus.

Zirkzee joined United over the summer, with the Red Devils signing the forward from Bologna for a fee of around PS36.5million. The Dutchman signed a five-year deal with United and enjoyed a dream debut as he came off the bench to score the winner against Fulham.

However, he has not found the back of the net since then and has typically been used as a substitute, with manager Erik ten Hag favouring Rasmus Hojlund. As a result, reports from Italy claimed that Juventus were eyeing a move for Zirkzee in January.

However, a fresh report from Sky Deutschland has now poured cold water on any suggestions that Zirkzee could leave Old Trafford after just six months. It is claimed that he has no intention of moving on and is determined to prove himself at United.

"The start, with the winning goal against Fulham, was nice. Then we lost twice - and you know that at a big club like Manchester United the attention then comes full on. I believe it will be fine. I've always had that. I never doubted it would still work out with my career.

"As a player, you gradually discover what you need to do to get to the top level and what you must cut out. The defeat against Liverpool was shameful. But when I see the team training, I do think we are on the right track.

"Yes, it is about adjusting. Whether it is also tougher than Serie A? Yes, it could be. At Bologna, we had ball possession very often. In England, I feel the game undulates much more. It's up and down and indeed different."
