Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has provided an update on the fitness of Danish duo Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen.

The Danish pair suffered injuries during the game with Rasmus Hojlund's injury, in particular, causing concern for Erik ten Hag as the injury appeared to be a hamstring strain.

Victor Lindelof, who received praise from Ten Hag in the aftermath of the Luton Town win, struck from a corner which was enough for the three points for Manchester United as they remain in the hunt for Champions League football.

The injuries, though, will be a concern for the Dutchman as the fixtures begin to get tougher for the Red Devils when the international break, the final one of the year, is over.

"In this moment, I can't tell anything about it because I don't know," Ten Hag said at his press conference, when asked about Hojlund's issue.

"We do an assessment and we have to wait 24 hours for the conclusion. So we'll give the medical team 24 hours to see what the problem is, if there is a problem.

On Eriksen's injury, an awkward landing, he said: "He slipped but it's the same - we have to do the assessment, set the diagnosis, set the conclusion and then we'll know where we are."

If the Dane's injury is indeed a hamstring injury, this would be a huge blow for United who have had an incredible amount of muscle problems with their key players.

As for Eriksen, the midfielder is, at this moment in time, trusted to perform in the engine room over Mason Mount so the Dane being out for a while would be a big blow.

Ten Hag may well have to turn to Anthony Martial, who has outstayed his Old Trafford welcome, if the former Atalanta forward is out for a significant period of time.
