Alan Brazil claims to have heard that Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is on 'thin ice' and believes the Dutchman will be sacked.

Speaking on talkSPORT this morning, Brazil shared what he's been told about Erik Ten Hag's future at Manchester United.

Ten Hag has endured a difficult start to the season, with United currently sitting in sixth place and seven points behind league leaders Manchester City. The Red Devils also sit bottom of their Champions League group after a disappointing 4-3 defeat to Copenhagen last week.

The pressure on Ten Hag ramped up last month after he suffered back-to-back 3-0 defeats at Old Trafford at the hands of Newcastle and City.

The former Ajax boss has since managed to pick up consecutive 1-0 wins in the Premier League. But Alan Brazil claims he remains on thin ice.

Brazil shares what he's been told about Ten Hag's future at United Speaking on talkSPORT, Brazil explained why he thinks Ten Hag will head out the door soon.

"I'm telling you now, Ten Hag in my opinion will be gone," he said.

Dean Saunders responded: "Well, I think Bruno Fernandes has kept him in a job with that goal."

"No, no," Brazil added. "Have you seen the next few games coming up for United?

"I don't want to see anyone get sacked, but I'm just telling you what I hear through the grapevine and he's on thin ice and it will end in tears."

The Dutchman has also had to deal with significant injuries to key players this term. But there's no denying that United have failed to impress this campaign, with many tipping them for a title challenge before the season got underway.

If what Brazil claims is true, then Ten Hag faces a crucial month ahead and United's fixtures aren't exactly kind. They will travel to Goodison Park and Galatasaray in the week after the international break before a difficult test at St James' Park.
