Manchester United have suffered yet another injury blow as Facundo Pellistri sustained a problem whilst with Uruguay, according to reports.

Erik ten Hag has had to deal with a huge amount of injury problems with his Manchester United team and it looks like Facundo Pellistri will be the next player to miss out.

The Uruguayan winger is a starter for his national side and looks to be an important player in Marcelo Bielsa's set up.

For United, however, Pellistri has struggled to break into the first team. The winger received a couple of chances in the team back in September but was removed from the side once Antony was back into training.

The winger impressed again in his national side's win over Bolivia but looks to have suffered a problem.

Pellistri was substituted and looks set to be a part of the plethora of players who are likely to miss the crucial match for United against Sean Dyche's Everton at Goodison Park.

Pellistri joins Rasmus Hojlund, Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia, Jonny Evans and Andre Onana are all either doubts or set to miss the vital encounter against the Toffees, who have just suffered a points deduction due to breaking the Premier League's Financial Fair Play rules.

United's injury problems The sheer scale of injury problems at Old Trafford has been almost ridiculous. The Daily Mail has stated that the club are trying to internally solve these issues but it is a worry.

What will be the most concerning aspect of the current injury crisis is the amount of muscular problems. Luke Shaw is only just returning from a muscular problem but it looks like Hojlund has suffered a similar injury of his own.

Whether Ten Hag is overworking the players as The Guardian states remains to be seen but the sheer scale of the problems they have suffered is certainly concerning.

With a busy Christmas schedule coming up, the hope will be that the Red Devils can get through their current injury malaise.
