Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has confirmed that he's been handed a triple boost ahead of facing Everton this weekend.

Manchester United have been struggling throughout this season from an injury list which seemed to be never-ending. However, ahead of Sunday's trip to Goodison Park, Erik ten Hag has been handed a triple boost.

Rasmus Hojlund still has a chance of featuring as he is close to being passed as fit and a decision will be made tomorrow.

Andre Onana picked up an injury while on international duty for Cameroon, however, he is expected to be fine for Sunday.

While long-term absentee Luke Shaw could make his long-awaited return this weekend after it was confirmed he would be in the squad at least.

Manchester Evening News reported the quotes that Ten Hag gave on Shaw: "Luke Shaw will be available, he will be in the squad. You can mention many things - physical, technical ability, it's clear. Long time this season we didn't have a left full-back. Very happy he is back. He will help us be more stable."

Ten Hag also shared an update on Hojlund: "Rasmus [Hojlund] is a close finish. He's training outside and making very good steps. We'll have to wait until tomorrow to make a final decision."

Lastly, on Onana, Ten Hag said: "Andre [Onana] is okay and he stepped into training." Which should suggest that his return on Sunday is likely.

Massive returns for United The list of returnees will be a massive boost for United as we enter the season's busiest period.

Hojlund is vital and without him, United faced a real predicament to decide on who to play up top.

Meanwhile, Onana is a huge boost, given Altay Bayindir is yet to make an appearance and away from home at a ground which will be as rowdy as Goodison is probably the wrong time for a debut.

Shaw's return is a real season-changer for United, his impact was sorely missed and his return should go a long way in improving performances for the Old Trafford outfit.
