Martial and Shaw return - United predicted XI to face Everton
Source:Manchestereveningnews

Manchester United return to the Premier League this weekend with a huge clash at Everton.

The Reds entered the international break on a positive note thanks to a narrow 1-0 win over Luton Town. However, there is no getting away from how important this week will be for United's season.

After the trip to Merseyside, the Reds have a crucial Champions League tie in Turkey against Galatasaray before returning to England to face Newcastle in a big game in the top four race. It is therefore imperative Erik ten Hag's side get off to the best possible start this Sunday.

MEN Sport has had a go at predicting the United team to face Everton below.

Goalkeeper - Andre Onana

Ten Hag confirmed in his press conference Onana would be fit to face the Toffees after an injury scare during the international break. While Altay Bayindir could have stepped in, the former Ajax man is settling into the role as No.1 well in recent matches.

Defence - Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw

Shaw's return from injury this week is huge for the Reds and he will be a welcome addition at left-back on Sunday. Lindelof appears to be guaranteed a start after scoring last time out while Wan-Bissaka should edge out Dalot for a start at right-back.

The big question remains as to whether Raphael Varane will earn himself a start. You wouldn't bet against Maguire keeping his place.

Midfield - Sofyan Amrabat, Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes

McTominay is currently undroppable after becoming one of this team's biggest goal threats. Fernandes should remain and while a radical approach would see Kobbie Mainoo feature in the midfield three, Amrabat is the safe bet.

While there is no doubt who Ten Hag would rather start, it is unlikely he will want to risk Rasmus Hojlund at Goodison when two big matches lurk on the horizon this week. This gives Martial a rare opportunity to prove a point to his critics.

Rashford and Garnacho are the likely options to start either side but it would not be a huge shock to see Antony come in for the Reds' teen winger, moving the England international onto the left flank.
