Former Leeds United striker Max Dean is attracting interest from clubs after his recent form for MK Dons.

That is according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, who report Dean's run in front of goal over the last few weeks has 'alerted scouts' across the 'British Isles', with Leeds possessing a sell-on clause in any deal.

Following MK Dons' appointment of Jesse Marsch's assistant manager at Leeds Mike Jackson, Dean then followed him down south a matter of weeks later in the January transfer window.

Dean did not play much under Jackson who could not prevent MK Dons from being relegated into League Two last season, which saw him lose his job.

The 19-year-old again found starts hard to come by under new manager Graham Alexander at the start of this season, though Dean's final game under his management saw him score twice.

Dean's form attracting interest, Leeds have sell-on clause Former Newcastle United defender Mike Williamson has since come into replace Alexander, and has allowed Dean to pick up where he left off.

Dean has scored in MK Dons' last two matches to take his tally up to four in four, helping them pick up maximum points from fixtures with Bradford City and Swindon Town.

During his time in Leeds' U23s, Dean was always behind the likes of Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood in terms of the young attackers with the most potential. His goal record, though, was always strong.

He netted 16 goals in 38 appearances for the young Whites and so when he was sold permanently, his departure was met with a slight hint of disappointment, even if he was always unlikely to make it at Elland Road.

However, Leeds could be about to benefit from his fine run of form at MK Dons if an offer comes in January that is too good to turn down, with their reported sell-on clause.
