'Not an easy one': Chris Sutton predicts the score when Newcastle face Wolves on Saturday

Newcastle United will be looking for a response after their Champions League defeat on Wednesday as they travel to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Eddie Howe must deal with a tricky away trip just days after Newcastle's loss to Borussia Dortmund, where the Magpies failed to live up to expectations.

St James' Park was far from rocking as Dortmund triumphed in the Champions League, and now the Magpies must dust themselves down and go again in the Premier League.

Howe has got some injury concerns going into the game. Alexander Isak has suffered a reoccurrence of his groin injury, while Jacob Murphy has a shoulder problem.

Losing those two players makes the game against Wolves even trickier, but BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton still believes that Newcastle will have enough to take home all three points.

"This is not an easy one to call," he wrote.

"Wolves have put together a four-game unbeaten run and Newcastle have got a few injuries to contend with, as well as Sandro Tonali's ban for breaching betting rules.

"I like the job Gary O'Neil is doing at Molineux, but the Magpies are defending really well at the moment and that is going to hold the key here.

"I am going with Newcastle to withstand a bit of pressure and bounce back from their Champions League defeat by Borussia Dortmund by nicking the points."

Tough task for Newcastle after Champions League loss A 1-0 win on the road would be perfect for Newcastle. Getting another clean sheet would be brilliant for a defence that was breached by Felix Nmecha on Wednesday night, just months after the Magpies were interested in him.

Any kind of win will do, but getting a clean sheet and winning 1-0 away from home would be the perfect response to our Champions League disappointment.

But Wolves are no mugs, and will represent a very difficult challenge on Saturday evening. Despite not being in the job long, Gary O'Neil has already had a huge impact at Molineux - despite a lot of pundits tipping them to struggle.

Hopefully they struggle this weekend, as Newcastle look to avoid a European hangover. They haven't suffered one so far this season, but this is their first Premier League game after a Champions League loss.

As Sutton says, this is not an easy one to call.
