Joey Barton says Kevin Keegan is 'bang on' with opinion of female pundits at men's matches

Joey Barton has defended Kevin Keegan following his controversial comments regarding female pundits working on men's matches.

Keegan was speaking on a recent tour where he discussed his opinions on females pundits working on men's games, specifically on England matches. The former England player and manager claimed that it's not 'the same experience' playing in men's and women's international games.

The winner of back-to-back Ballon d'Ors in 1978 and 1979 made the comments in from of a crowd of around 250 in Bristol, where he said: "I don't like to listen to ladies talking about the England men's team at the match because I don't think it's the same experience. I have a problem with that."

The 63-time England international clarified from his comments that he does think some female pundits 'are better than guys,' Keegan added: "The presenters we have now, some of the girls are so good, they are better than the guys. It's a great time for the ladies.
