Newcastle United have identified 26-year-old Juventus star Federico Chiesa as a target for January according to reports in Italy.
TuttoJuve have reported that Newcastle are 'obsessed' with signing Italy forward Federico Chiesa and will launch a bid in the next transfer window to sign him 'at all costs'.
Newcastle have been interested in Chiesa for a while and were linked with a move in the summer both before and after signing Sandro Tonali, so it was never a one-or-the-other type deal.
Chiesa has been on Newcastle's radar for a while Chiesa has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs but opted to stay at Juventus in the summer.
The left winger has played 11 times for Juventus this season bagging four goals and an assist and while he's in good form, his future is in doubt.

Chiesa has been admired by Newcastle for a while In the summer, Chiesa will enter into the final year of his contract and with no offer currently on the table, Juventus may need to think about capitalising sooner rather than later before his value plummets.
We aren't convinced by this latest report As far as Newcastle are concerned, a left-winger might not be as much of a priority anymore with Anthony Gordon being in sublime form and new signing Harvey Barnes closing in on a return from injury.
Therefore this one doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Chiesa is an excellent player, no doubt, but as far as urgent positions to fill in January, his is not one of them, so we're taking this one with a pinch of salt.
Thankfully we still have lots of salt left over from Arsenal last week.
