Injury has forced Newcastle United winger Miguel Almiron to withdraw from international duty.
The 29-year-old was replaced by Matt Ritchie on the half-hour mark at the Vitality Stadium. Speaking after the game, United head coach Eddie Howe said: "He's got a hamstring problem. I hope it's not serious. Of course we all hope that but we don't know at this moment in time quite how bad it is."
Late on Sunday night, Paraguay confirmed Almiron has picked up a grade one biceps femoris muscle injury and will therefore miss World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Colombia.
"The Albirroja technical and medical team will provide constant monitoring of the footballer throughout this time, knowing his great importance to the group, on and off the field of play.
"The Paraguayan Football Association wishes Miguel Almiron a speedy recovery."
A grade one injury indicates that Almiron has avoided a lengthy spell on the sidelines but clarity on exactly how long he'll be out for is yet to arrive.
In the meantime, Almiron is a doubt for Newcastle's next Premier League clash at home to Chelsea on November 25. United, as it stands, are without 11 players through injury and suspension.
