Former Tottenham manager and pundit Tim Sherwood initially criticised Pedro Porro harshly after his debut against Leicester City.

However, he has since changed his opinion and now believes Porro has performed well for the team.

In his debut against Leicester City, Porro had a tough game, and Sherwood was highly critical of him on Sky Sports.

He mentioned that Porro's positioning was poor, and he allowed Leicester's attackers to exploit him.

The comments were extremely harsh on the full-back considering he had only just moved to a new club in a league where normally players need to time adapt to the physicality of the game.

Since then he has very quickly become one of the best players at the club with Sherwood forced to change his mind about the Spaniard.

Sherwood noted that he was initially critical of Porro because he believed the player was not suited to a purely defensive role as a right-back.

Porro's strengths lie in going on the offensive, getting forward, and timing his runs well. He has also demonstrated an aggressive approach and the ability to win the ball back effectively.

He told Soccer Saturday (2:35pm):

"Dare I say it, but Pedro Porro has done well."

"Do you know why I wasn't his number one fan was because he was asked to play in a position as a right-back and just stay there and defend. It's not what he is good at.

"He is good at going on the offensive. He gets forward. Gets there at the right time. Aggressive. Wins the ball back."
