The player will now be counting down the days until January. He will be desperate to get out and play some football and it will be intriguing to see where he heads when the window reopens.
Forest would have some juggling to do at centre-back Forest target Chalobah has proved a very useful player for Chelsea when he has been called upon. Rio Ferdinand called him 'unbelievable' back in 2019 and he was very impressed with the player who typically plays at centre-back.
It's fair to say that should any centre-back sign it would mean possibly two players leaving the club. Scott McKenna and Felipe are both out of contract next summer and they would surely be in the mix to depart.
Murillo has made a strong start to life at Forest; whilst Willy Boly is also out of contract next summer but his early season form has suggested that he's undroppable at the moment.
Chalobah would be an interesting signing given the competition for places. However, if Cooper wants him, perhaps the club's recruitment team will go after him once more in January.
