Nottingham Forest youngster Brandon Aguilera is today highlighted by the Latin American media.

Following Costa Rica's U-23 friendlies against Colombia, Teletica features a story claiming it's now clear there are a couple of players who seem to be ready to be in the first team, and the midfielder is one of them.

The outlet says the national team is willing to 'renew itself' and quotes analyst Pablo Izaguirre with some comments about him and teammate Kenneth Vargas.

"It is important that both have a stake in their teams," he says.

"It has been important to be out of the country and that is good for them and for La Sele, as they will continue to grow, especially with the experienced senior players when they are called up". Aguilera already made his debut for the first team and even has ten appearances for them, but due to the lack of playing time in professional football, he's been altering between the U-23 and the main squad.

The midfielder was signed by Nottingham Forest from Costa Rican side LD Alajuelense in the summer of 2022. Following his arrival in England, he was first loaned back to the Central American country, where he joined Guanacasteca, and was then sent to Portuguese side Estoril in January.

The youngster ended up staying in the Tricky Trees' squad for the 2023/24 season, and even made his debut as a late sub in the 1-0 defeat to Burnley in the EFL Cup. Now he continues to wait for more chances to prove himself, and consequently have more games for Costa Rica.
