Take That Nottingham tickets still available as boyband to perform two City Ground gigs

It was one of the least cryptic teasers in recent times. Nottingham Forest's City Ground was one of a number of venues that had the Take That logo projected onto it last month.

The next day the band announced a UK and Ireland tour, which originally included a date in Nottingham on Sunday, May 26, 2024. But, such was the demand for tickets on the day they went on general sale, the group added an extra date in the city on Saturday, May 25, 2024.

The dates are part of the group's This Life On Tour tour, which will see the 90s boyband perform across the UK and Ireland. They will be joined by former X Factor contestant Olly Murs and the tour will start in Sheffield on April 13 2024.

Tickets are still available for both Nottingham dates on Ticketmaster. Standing and seated as well as VIP tickets are available for the Saturday gig and some resale tickets are available for the Sunday date.

Some are also available on Gigs and Tours for both dates but there is limited availability for the original Sunday, May 26 date. The City Ground dates will be the first gig there since REM in 2005.

Fans were quick to share their excitement after the logo projection. Parvis Shabami, a 62-year-old graphic designer, said: "Gigs and famous celebrities coming to Nottingham are obviously good for the city and its economy and general mood, so why not? I'm sure they'd help to boost businesses nearby. Hopefully."

Pablo Saatchi, 38, who works as a painter and decorator, said: "I followed their music many years ago, I was a little kid when I used to listen to Take That. A lot of people will come up for it. My sisters definitely will go to it."
