Nottingham Forest are still keen to sign Rangers defender Borna Barisic when the January transfer window reopens. The Reds were linked with a raid on the Glasgow giants in the summer but chose other options instead.
According to Team Talk, the Reds still want to sign the Croatian left-back. It's also believed that the Ibrox-based outfit will be offering him a new contract to try and keep clubs in bigger leagues away from the door.
Forest still keen to sign Rangers star Barisic This would certainly be an interesting one. The 30-year-old is a player that has been on the Forest radar for a little while; likely since Ross Wilson joined the club after leaving Rangers.
Barisic is on the radar of several clubs but Rangers won't want to lose him. When Steven Gerrard was in charge at Ibrox, he called him 'outstanding' and considered him an integral part of the team.

Barisic would be useful on Trentside If Forest do go ahead and try for Barisic, they should look to strike a deal to bring him in during the January transfer window. Ola Aina and Nuno Tavares are both injured and the left-back spot remains an issue.
Interestingly, Barisic has come in for some criticism of late. It was reported by Football Scotland that Ivan Pudar has blasted the Rangers player for his passing during recent games for Croatia against Wales and Turkey.
Signing Barisic won't come easily to Forest. He has a strong affection for Rangers and if they're offering him a new deal, there is every chance that he could remain at Ibrox.
