Newcastle United are considering a move for Andrey Santos if Chelsea decide to recall the midfielder from Nottingham Forest. The Reds landed the 19-year-old in the summer but he's yet to make a Premier League appearance.
Chelsea turned down a number of loan offers for Santos in the summer to let him head to Forest. However, he's made just one appearance in the Carabao Cup and that won't appease Chelsea.
Newcastle want Forest loanee Santos The Magpies are set to be in the market for a new midfield player. Sandro Tonali looks like he could face a ban for some betting charges and that will leave Newcastle short in the engine room.
The 19-year-old took part in Chelsea's pre-season tour to America. It was there that he caught the eye and some felt as though Mauricio Pochettino would utilise him this season.
However, the Blues landed Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia in the summer and that shunted him down the pecking order and saw the club let Santos join Forest on a season-long stint.
