'Perfect': Morgan Gibbs-White says 26-year-old Nottingham Forest player is such a brilliant teammate
Source:Nottinghamforest

Morgan Gibbs-White has heaped praise on one of his teammates who is tailor-made for Nottingham Forest.

The Reds are still scrapping for their lives towards the bottom of the Premier League with three games remaining.

Forest go to Sheffield United on Saturday, with games against Chelsea and Burnley on the horizon.

The Reds couldn't defeat Manchester City at the City Ground on Sunday and remain just a point above the relegation zone in the top flight.

Ahead of Saturday's huge game, Gibbs-White has lauded one of his teammates after he fetched up a milestone number of appearances at the weekend.

However, he's reserved some praise for a teammate of his who he feels was destined to play for Forest.

Ryan Yates made it 200 not out for the Reds on Sunday when he came on as a substitute against Manchester City.

Now, his teammates have been reacting, with Gibbs-White raving about the academy graduate.

Gibbs-White told the Forest YouTube channel: "He's a person that you always want on your team.

"From minute one he's aggressive, you know exactly what you're going to get from Yatesy and he's just the perfect teammate to have alongside you if you're going into a fight."

Gibbs-White is right about Yates but he's not a starter right now Nuno Espirito Santo rang some changes on Sunday, choosing to go with a three-man defensive unit to try and combat City.

That meant Gibbs-White dropped into central midfield and Yates was relegated to the substitutes bench.

Some fans aren't keen on the idea of a Forest eleven that doesn't include Yates but it did appear to work wonders on Sunday.

Although Forest couldn't get a win, if Chris Wood had tucked away his chances, the team might have claimed some points.

For every Gibbs-White that gets included in the Forest squad, there needs to be room for a Yates.

His defensive presence allows players like Gibbs-White to produce their most creative play. As a result, it will be interesting to see if Yates gets his place back as the season draws to a close.

Forest have to start winning games and it would seem that with Yates leading the charges, Espirito Santo has a player that everyone wants in the trenches with them.
