Nottingham Forest's clash with Luton Town is currently still scheduled to go ahead as planned, despite Storm Babet wreaking havoc across the country.
The club are hopeful Saturday's Premier League match at the City Ground will not fall victim to the weather. But they are continuing to closely monitor the situation and remain in contact with the local councils and Nottinghamshire Police.
A number of areas in Nottinghamshire are experiencing flooding as a result of the persistent heavy rain. Several roads in the county have been closed and travel has been disrupted, with some bus diversions in place.
Steve Cooper's Reds host the Hatters in a 3pm kick-off on Saturday. The City Ground pitch was relaid and the drainage system improved during the summer, leaving Forest optimistic the game will go ahead.
Forest will be aiming to get back to winning ways against Luton. They went four games without a victory before the international break, with their 0-0 stalemate at Crystal Palace representing a second successive draw.
"They have players who can make a difference in the way they play," Cooper said of the Hatters. "As always in the Premier League, it's a game where everything needs to be at a really good level.
"We've got to focus on ourselves. Having got everyone back from international duty and not having your normal preparation, we have to make sure we quickly get back up to speed, there's no excuses for that. We want to hit the ground running in the game and try to have the impact we want."
