West Ham Plot Forest Transfer Raid
Source:West Ham

West Ham United's transfer window has taken a turn for the feisty. After Nottingham Forest outbid them for defender Vitao, the Hammers are plotting a transfer coup by targeting a key player from Forest itself - striker Taiwo Awoniyi.

West Ham's technical director, Tim Steidten, is fuming. Nottingham Forest has emerged as a thorn in his side this transfer window, as yesterday they snatched up Vitao from under our nose.

With a hefty PS100 million summer transfer budget allocated for six to eight signings, West Ham is a major player in the market. Their Brazilian scouting efforts, however, have been clashing with those of Nottingham Forest.

West Ham has seemingly shifted its focus to Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi. Awoniyi's future is uncertain due to injuries limiting his playing time and facing competition from teammate Chris Wood.

While West Ham might not be the only club interested in Awoniyi, the current situation between the two clubs could influence the deal. But a substantial offer would be necessary to convince Forest to part ways with the striker.
