Report: After Carlos Miguel deal, Nottingham Forest have now outbid West Ham for another Brazilian player

Nottingham Forest have now outbid West Ham to sign another Brazilian player - after beating the Hammers to Carlos Miguel.

The South American glovesman has agreed to join the Reds in a PS3m move that left a national media outlet furious - it was Globo Esporte who claimed that West Ham also wanted to secure the Corinthians No.22's signature.

Now - according to sources in Brazil - Nottingham Forest are about to upset West Ham once again...

Nottingham Forest submit bid for Vitao A story from Revista Colorada now reveals that Nottingham Forest have barged into the race to sign Vitao.

The Brazilian - who has been on loan at Internacional from Shakhtar Donetsk since 2022 due to the war between Russia and Ukraine - is the subject of bids from West Ham and Villarreal.

Now - however - Revista Colorada believe Nottingham Forest have arrived with an offer which outweighs both West Ham and Villarreal's proposals.

The South American news outlet add that the Garibaldi have also offered Vitao a better salary package than what the Hammers and Villarreal are putting on the table.

Revista Colorada do not go into detail when explaining the value of these proposals, although it is said that Internacional - who sound like they have secured full ownership of the defender from Shakhtar Donetsk amid the aforementioned war - expect to receive EUR12m (PS10m) from his sale.

Interestingly, the report states that Vitao has already sold his house in Porto Alegre as he prepares to leave.

One in, one out There is - unfortunately - a negative about this transfer.

Vitao is not arriving to bolster Nuno Espirito Santo's defensive department further, but instead, it sounds as if the 24-year-old will replace Murillo.

Therefore, it could be a case of one Brazilian defender in and another out at the City Ground in the coming weeks.
