Will Spurs break bank for Gibbs-White? Tottenham Hotspur FC have been linked with Nottingham Forest attacking midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White for a move in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The North Londoners are set to take advantage of PSR compliance problems at City Ground this summer as they look to bring another marquee signing from Forest this summer. The 24-year-old has incurred another impressive campaign with the West Bridgford-based side, netting five goals and 10 assists in 37 appearances in the English top tier. He has been integral to Nuno Espirito Santo's bid for survival in the Premier League.

There have been reports suggesting the Lilywhites lead the race for the former Wolves midfielder, with his current employers putting a PS40 million price tag on his signatures this summer.

Alan Hutton, speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, said:

"I'm not surprised they've put that valuation on him. He's another player who has had an outstanding season at a club where you thought they would be fighting towards the bottom and they did.

"I know he likes to play in that number 10 role where you get the best out of him because he can see a pass or score a goal.

"When James Maddison was injured Spurs did miss that bit of creativity within there. So if they can get another player in there and build for the future, it makes that squad stronger."

The Tottenham boss is keen to raise the ceiling of the squad, and signing the 24-year-old would help him not only raise the bar but also add quality depth to a player who has suffered injury inconsistencies since last season.
