AFC Bournemouth are set to face Nottingham Forest away on the opening weekend of the 2024/25 Premier League season after every team's fixture lists were released.

In other eye-catching news, the Cherries will be reunited with local foes Southampton on Saturday 28 September.

The Cherries face a mixed start to the Premier League season, with Andoni Iraola's side following up Forest by facing Newcastle (H), Everton (A), Chelsea (H), Liverpool (A), Southampton (H) and Leicester (A) in their opening seven fixtures.

Big tests for Iraola's Cherries After a fine debut season at the club, there will be a new-found excitement and ambition for Iraola's Bournemouth side.

The Spaniard will want to start the season quickly after a poor start to his debut campaign that saw the Cherries initially flirting with the bottom three spots.

As always, the December period is a busy one for Bournemouth with six league games within the month.

December includes fixtures at home against Tottenham on the 3rd, a trip to Ipswich Town's Portman Road on the 7th, and a visit to Old Trafford to face Manchester United on the 21st.

After their historic 3-0 victory at Old Trafford last season, the Cherries will be looking for a repeat of last year's fixture ahead of a busy festive period.

The Cherries' festive period will entail hosting Oliver Glasner's Crystal Palace on Boxing Day and a trip to Fulham on Sunday 29 December, before the start of the new year.

January presents a more relaxed period, featuring four league fixtures.

However, this may change due to any possible cup ties in the FA Cup or Carabao Cup. During January, Bournemouth will face Everton (H), Chelsea (A), Newcastle (A) and Nottingham Forest (H).

The end-of-the-season run-in will see Bournemouth with a tough set of fixtures that could be season-defining. The south coast side will end April by hosting Manchester United on the 26th.

Along with this, the final four games for the Cherries will occur in May, facing clashes against Arsenal (A), Aston Villa (H), Manchester City (A) and Leicester (H).

Notable Fixtures Some of the first fixtures that Bournemouth fans will be looking for include their visit down the road to Southampton, after Russell Martin's side's Championship Play-Off Final win.

The 'Ryan Fraser' derby will occur at least twice this season and Iraola's side will initially host Southampton on Saturday 28 September, before visiting St Mary's on Saturday 15 February.

The Cherries will continue their fixtures against the newly promoted sides as they will face Ipswich Town on 7 December (A) and Tuesday 1 April (H).

Clashes against Leicester City will commence on the 5 October (A) and Sunday 25 May (H).

On the other hand, Andoni Iraola will have to earn his money when Bournemouth faces the 'Big Six' teams.

The Cherries face a trip to Anfield on the 21 September before Arne Slot's Reds travel south on Saturday 1 February.

A clash against the reigning champions, Manchester City, will come next on 2 November (H) and Sunday 18 May (A).

They will also face Manchester United on 21 December (A), while the return fixture takes place on 26 April (H).

The Cherries will also face stern tests from the 'Big Six' teams located in London, starting with Chelsea, who travel to Bournemouth on 14 September, while Wednesday 15 January will see a visit to Stamford Bridge.

The Vitality Stadium will then play host to Arsenal and Spurs on 19 October and Tuesday 3 December respectively.

Visits to North London will occur on 8 March (Spurs) and 3 May (Arsenal).
