The first 20 minutes proved a bit of a stalemate with the home side happy to stay in shape and seemingly reluctant to press. You felt chances could therefore materialise if we could turn over the ball in their half - and that's how it turned out.

The opener on 24 minutes came after Donley and Soonsup-Bell hunted down Will Van Lier in the left channel. Soonsup-Bell came out with the ball, rolled in Donley left side and he picked out Lankshear's run with a deft cross that left his fellow forward with the easiest of tap ins.

The second goal nine minutes later followed a similar pattern. This time, Alfie Dorrington won the ball from Malik Mothersille on the right, stepped inside Van Lier and squared for Kyerematen, in space, central, 30 yards out. It didn't take long for him to weigh it up and his strike was crisp, angling away from Hudd into the top corner.

Mothersille had Posh's only sight of goal of the half on 35 minutes, firing wide from Janos Bodnar's pass, but we finished the half with a flourish as Max McKnight picked out Lankshear to fire over from the edge of the box, McKnight then went for goal himself from the right angle, forcing a reaction save from Hudd and finally Nile John lashed wide from a similar position.

Posh had the first opportunity of the second half as Mothersille's shot was deflected wide before Kyerematen showed the creative side of his game to pick a pass to open it up for Lankshear, but defenders got back before he could get a shot off. Posh's best chance arrived on 70 minutes as Gabe Overton got away down the right and put it on a plate for Mothersille, but the striker missed his connection in front of goal.

The next chance arrived on 84 minutes, prompted by Dorrington's charge down the right, winning a corner. Donley whipped it in, Brooklyn Lyons-Foster's glancing header sailed just wide. There was one final chance for each team - ours arrived on the break with Posh committed forward, Soonsup-Bell squared for Donley, whose shot was deflected over. Then, in the final minute of added time, Aaron Powell dragged a volley wide from close range for the home side.

Overall, a job well done.
