Conor Hazard 7 - Had one of his best games of the season.

In what were dreadfully wet and conditions for goalkeepers, Hazard looked assured, making a couple of good saves in the early stages of the game in particular.

Could he have come out to clear the ball when Jake Livermore crossed into the centre of the penalty area and Ryan Andrews lifted the ball over him? Possibly.

Julio Pleguezuelo 7 - Came up with some good covering play on the right-side of Argyle's central defensive trio, not least when the score was 1-1 in the first half when he hurled himself forward to cut out a cross from Ryan Andrews for striker Mileta Rajovic.

Scarr was generally the one to deal with Watford top scorer Mileta Rajovic, who did not get among the goals but was a focal point for their attacking play.

The Pilgrims' defender did extremely well late in the game to cut out a low cross from the left without putting it into his own net, with the ball going just wide instead.

Lewis Gibson 7 - Put in a typically strong defensive display.

He made an excellent block from a shot by Watford's Giorgi Chakvetadze before Finn Azaz went on the counter attack for Argyle and it led to Morgan Whittaker giving them a 2-1 lead.

Gibson had the chance to grab a last-gasp winning goal when he won the ball high up the pitch following a Pilgrims' set piece and sent a powerful shot not far over the crossbar.

Kaine Kesler-Hayden 6 - Returned to the team at right wing-back in Argyle's 3-4-3 formation as one of three changes from the 2-1 defeat away to Southampton.

Had his hands full defensively with Georgian attacker Giorgi Chakvetadze and made a great sprawling block when Mileta Rajovic had an excellent shooting chance early in the second half.

Jordan Houghton 6 - The game was very stretched throughout with each team attacking the other relentlessly, which meant the likes of Houghton and Adam Randell had to cover a lot of ground.

Still not fully recovered from an illness over Christmas, which forced him to miss the 2-2 Boxing Day draw away to Cardiff City, he was substituted shortly after the hour mark.

Adam Randell 9 STAR MAN - A terrific all-round performance from the 23-year-old after not quite hitting the heights in his recent appearances.

One minute he was winning the ball back deep inside Argyle territory or breaking up Watford attacks, the next minute he was pushing forward at the other end of the pitch.

Twice won free-kicks for the Pilgrims close to the Watford box when it was 3-3 after good attacking play from him.

Bali Mumba 6 - Played as the left wing-back and struggled at times dealing with Watford right-back Ryan Andrews, most notably when he got in behind him to meet a cross from Jake Livermore and put the visitors level at 3-3 in the 57th minute.

Was then booked for pulling the shirt of Andrews and he was replaced by Mickel Miller not long afterwards.

Morgan Whittaker 8 - Took his goal tally for the season to 13 in 26 Championship matches with an emphatic finish with his less favoured right foot to put Argyle 2-1 up after an initial shot with his left had been blocked.

His first-time pass was the assist for Ryan Hardie when he made it 3-2 in the 42nd minute.

Whittaker later forced two excellent saves out of Ben Hamer as the Pilgrims chased a fourth goal to try to win the game, including one from a fiercely-struck snapshot in added time.

Ryan Hardie 8 - His pace and strong-running made such a difference for Argyle as he made his first start since returning to action from a concussion last month.

Argyle always had an out-ball when they were under pressure because of his tenacious play.

He had a shot which hit the inside of a post and a stinging strike was parried away by Ben Hamer before scoring for the second successive match with an emphatic 42nd minute finish after being released by Morgan Whittaker.

Finn Azaz 8 - His 20th minute equaliser will undoubtedly be a goal-of-the-season contender.

There did not seem any immediate danger when Watford cleared a corner but the technique Azaz showed to meet the ball as it dropped towards him with a sidefooted volley well beyond the reach of Ben Hamer was simply outstanding.

Almost grabbed a late winning goal with a shot which Watford defender Wesley Hoedt did really well to block and eflect away for a corner.

Luke Cundle 7 - Was a 64th minute substitute for Jordan Houghton and his introduction definitely played a part in Argyle regaining some control over the match with his very effective use of the ball.

Mickel Miller 7 - Replaced the yellow-carded Bali Mumba at left wing-back and showed good attacking intent.

It was following one low cut-back from Miller that Finn Azaz had his late chance to get a winning goal in added time.

Joe Edwards 7 - Whether he starts or plays as a substitute, as he did this time as a 69th minute replacement for Kaine Kesler-Hayden, Argyle can be sure he will lead by example with his sheer endeavour.

Freddie Issaka - With Mustapha Bundu staying on the bench, and Ben Waine ruled out through illness, it was the 17-year-old who was called upon to take over as the central striker in the 81st minute after Ryan Hardie had put in a real shift for Argyle.

Substitutes (not used): Callum Burton, Matt Butcher, Mustapha Bundu, Tyreik Wright, Brendan Galloway.
