Plymouth Argyle is hopeful that Finn Azaz will not be recalled by Aston Villa during the January transfer window, despite his outstanding form.
Neil Dewsnip, director of football at Argyle, has stated that they are in ongoing discussions with loan players' clubs to prepare for any possibilities.
Midfielder Lewis Warrington has returned to Everton due to injury and is not expected to resume his loan spell at Home Park.
Plymouth Argyle are hoping that Finn Azaz will remain with them throughout the season despite being on loan from Aston Villa. Last year, Morgan Whittaker had to return to Swansea City during the January transfer window instead of continuing with Plymouth Argyle. The club's director of football Neil Dewsnip expressed hope that history would not repeat itself this year. Azaz has been in excellent form recently and has contributed seven goals and five assists for the team this season. He scored a stunning goal against Watford on New Year's Day and Dewsnip praised him as "technically very gifted."
Dewsnip mentioned ongoing discussions with all their loan players' clubs in order to be prepared for any potential recalls or transfers during the January window. Kaine KeslerHayden, also on loan from Aston Villa, along with Luke Cundle borrowed from Wolves are other key players currently playing for Plymouth Argyle.
However, midfielder Lewis Warrington has returned back injured which means he won't be resuming his loan spell at Home Park. This leaves an opportunity open for two new possible loans signings between now and end of this month if desired by Plymouth Argyle management.
