Pete Wild's side translated their excellent league form to the cup at the weekend as they defeated League One side Northampton Town 3-1 and will be looking for another positive result in the EFL Trophy tomorrow afternoon.
Looking back at the weekend not many people tipped the Bluebirds to beat League One strugglers Northampton, but after a convincing display on Saturday, the Bluebirds deservedly ran out 3-1 winners. Emile Acquah bagged his sixth goal of the season, whilst Tom White and Ben Whitfield secured passage into the next round of the FA Cup with goals in the second half.
Looking to the cup we'll be playing in tomorrow night, Barrow has lost both of their EFL Trophy games this season. During the first game of this season's rendition of the competition, Neil Critchley's Blackpool side put on a fine display at Holker Street after recording a 2-0 win, whilst last month Morecambe beat Barrow 3-1 with Whitfield bagging his first goal of the season for Barrow.

The weekend saw more positive news as Jamie Proctor made his return from injury after coming on as a second-half substitute, whilst Mazeed Ogungbo also made his second start of the season.
It was also nice to see two of Jason Taylor's B Team players in the form of Owen Bray and Sean Etaluku included in Saturday's squad.

Tomorrow night we face an interesting challenge in the form of Liverpool U21s who currently sit second in our EFL Trophy group with three points.
Their three points came from an impressive performance away to Morecambe where they smashed the Shrimps for three, thanks to goals from Bobby Clark, Callum Scanlon, and forward Mateusz Musialowski.
Musialowski was back amongst the scorers when the Young Reds next played in the EFL Trophy when they were on the wrong end of a 5-2 score-line against Blackpool, whilst Paul Galtzel also bagged a goal for the Reds.
Liverpool currently sits in eighth place in the Premier League Two having won four, drawn two, and lost two of their opening eight matches.
It's not going to come as a surprise to many that Barrow has never previously met a Liverpool side in this competition.
However, the Bluebirds did face Liverpool twice during 1940 in the War Cup with Barrow doing the double over the Reds, having won 2-0 and 2-1.
It's worth noting we have already faced another Premier League U21s side in pre-season when we won 4-1 against a young Newcastle team at Holker Street thanks to goals from Emile Acquah, Proctor, David Worrall, and Niall Canavan.
The referee for tomorrow's match is Ed Duckworth. This is Duckworth's first season as an EFL referee, and we are yet to be officiated by him. So far this season he has officiated a total of 13 games across League One, League Two, and the EFL Trophy.
Tomorrow he will be joined by Johnathon Bickerdike, Ivan Stankovic, and Richard Aspinall.
