Sunderland welcome Sheffield Wednesday to the Stadium of Light for their final Sky Bet Championship fixture of the season on Saturday (KO 12.30pm).

Sheffield Wednesday are 20th in the Sky Bet Championship table with 50 points from 45 games. The Owls have collected 14 wins, eight draws, and suffered 23 defeats so far this campaign.

The visitors sit in eighth spot in the Championship form table following Danny Rohl's appointment. Wednesday are on a positive run, having picked up 21 points over their last 12 matches, with leaders Ipswich Town sitting three points ahead.

Overall, the Owls have lacked goals (42) throughout the season, only bottom side Rotherham United (32) have scored less. Anthony Musaba leads the way in front of goal, the striker has fired eight times in 28 starts.

Defensively, the visitors have shipped 68 goals throughout the campaign with only Rotherham United (87), Huddersfield Town (75), Blackburn Rovers (74) and Plymouth Argyle (70) conceding more than the Owls.

The last time the sides faced off, Sunderland walked away with all three points - goals from Dan Ballard and a Jack Clarke brace secured a 3-0 away victory at Hillsborough.

A familiar face returns to Wearside on Saturday. Striker Ashley Fletcher signed for the Black Cats in 2018 and went on to score two goals in 16 appearances.
