It is always fascinating to see how players will fare following a change of manager, and there have been some interesting cases at Wolves since Gary O'Neil replaced Julen Lopetegui.

O'Neil came in just a few days before the start of the new season.

Lopetegui quit after growing tired of the financial situation at the club and the communications from the board about it.

Lopetegui leaving when he did had the potential to really spoil things for Wolves heading into the new campaign.

Thankfully, O'Neil has rather steadied the ship.

And it's been interesting to note who has played a lot and who hasn't played so much.

And there's one player who is currently struggling a little to catch the new manager's attention...

Hugo Bueno has now missed Wolves' last three Premier League matchday squads Hugo Bueno was a revelation for Wolves last season.

There was so much doom and gloom after the horrible start under Bruno Lage, and then the process of hiring Lopetegui.

After being handed his debut by interim manager Steve Davis, Bueno largely stayed in the team under Lopetegui.

Earlier this year, Lopetegui tipped him to become a really top Premier League full-back, saying 'He has the profile of player, if you ask me, that he is going to improve. He is very professional and he wants to learn in his daily work. this is the first step to improve in the next years'.

Bueno started 11 times under Lopetegui in the Premier League, with Rayan Ait-Nouri missing out on several squads towards the end.

He was massively in favour with the former head coach.

But Bueno is seemingly not fancied as much by O'Neil right now.

He's now missed the last three Premier League squads, and Matt Doherty has been preferred as the back-up to Ait-Nouri on the left in recent weeks.

Bueno is a very hard working player and will no doubt be knuckling down over the international break to try and get back in favour.

It's not like he's been underperforming, really. It's just that Ait-Nouri is definitely standing out at the moment.

That said, for him to not even be making squads may be a little concerning for him.
