Hugo Lloris was expected to leave Tottenham last summer but remained at the club until the January transfer window when he found a move to LAFC.

Former Spurs player Sandro criticized Tottenham for their treatment of Lloris, saying he should have been treated better as a club icon.

Lloris will now play in the MLS with LAFC.

Hugo Lloris was expected to leave Tottenham last summer after Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli was signed to replace him. However, he remained at the Premier League side until the January transfer window, when he eventually found a move to LAFC. Former Spurs player Sandro criticized his former team for how they treated their longserving captain and said that they were negligent in handling players leaving. He believes that regardless of whether or not Lloris wanted to leave, he should have had a better exit from a team where he gave everything for more than a decade.

Sandro also praised Lloris' contributions during his time at Tottenham and expressed sadness about the way in which he left. He mentioned that under Pochettino's management, Lloris played an important role in giving a new face to Tottenham and felt that it was unfair how things ended for him at the club.

Despite this criticism, Hugo Lloris will now enjoy playing in Major League Soccer (MLS) with LAFC, away from London and winding down his career while helping raise the profile of football in America.
