A youngster who left Tottenham Hotspur's academy set-up before joining Arsenal is now rated as one of the best prospects in London.

There is certainly no love lost between Tottenham and Arsenal and as a result, you very rarely see players moving across north London.

Yet, we've already seen the likes of Harry Kane fail to make the cut at Arsenal during his academy days before going on to become one of the world's best strikers at Spurs.

The Evening Standard have now released a list of 50 youngsters regarded as 'the best academy stars' across the capital.

Josh Nichols features on the list and interestingly, he enjoyed a spell at Tottenham before joining the Hale End Academy set-up.

Nichols features and The Standard claims the young defender previously played for Chelsea, West Ham and Spurs before making the switch to Arsenal.

It's noted that the 17-year-old has been adapting his game to play as an inverted full-back, much like Ben White does for the Gunners in the first team.

The talented youngster has racked up 26 appearances for the U18s and U21s this term, scoring twice and grabbing an assist in the process.

It looks set to be a defining game for both sides, with Arsenal going for the title and Spurs aiming for a top-four finish.

The two sides were forced to settle for a point when they met at the Emirates Stadium back in September. That game finished 2-2 on the day and next month's clash is also likely to deliver goals.
