Walsall boss Mat Sadler has made the club's desire to keep Jamie Jellis clear amid links with Championship and League One sides.
Walsall have enjoyed a fine 2024/25 campaign to date, sitting 2nd in the League Two table with 31 points collected from 16 games.
The Saddlers were knocked out of the FA Cup by Charlton Athletic at the weekend but spirits remain high at Bescot Stadium.
There was quiet optimism among some going into the season but few expected them to be in such a strong position at this time of the year.

They've had several influential performers play starring roles this campaign but few have caught the eye like Jamie Jellis.
The central midfielder has starred in the middle, chipping in with five goals in 24 games across all competitions.
His form for Walsall is said to have put him on the radars of clubs in the Championship and League One, but manager Mat Sadler has made it clear there is no plan to sanction a winter exit for the 23-year-old.
Sadler was quizzed on interest in Jellis by the Express and Star.
He issued a quick answer when asked if the club will be looking to keep the midfielder, saying:"Yes, we will.
"Jellis exit stance clear There can be no doubts over how Walsall feel about the emerging interest in Jellis heading into the January transfer window.

Nevertheless, with promotion on the radar at the Bescot Stadium, Jellis is someone who they have no interest in losing.
He'd be a tough player for Walsall to replace but despite Championship and League One interest, it seems they have no interest in entertaining an exit.
The Saddlers then make the quick turnaround for another big clash this weekend.
A trip two current league Two leaders Port Vale awaits this weekend.
The focus switches to EFL Trophy action this time next week with Reading visiting.
