Former Nottingham Forest star delivers key Hull City and West Brom play-off prediction
Source:Hulldailymail

Former Nottingham Forest and Ipswich Town defender Luke Chambers believes Hull City have what it takes to overthrow West Brom and claim the final play-off spot this weekend.

After 45 pulsating Championship encounters, the regular season draws to a thrilling climax on Saturday afternoon, with City facing a Plymouth side who could be relegated, while West Brom host out of form Preston.

Liam Rosenior's Tigers are two points behind the Baggies, managed by Carlos Corberan, but will go to Home Park unbeaten in six games and with momentum, while Albion have just a sole victory over Rotherham United in their previous six outings, and have lost their last three.

Chambers, who watched City deliver a terrific display in their captivating 3-3 draw with his former club last weekend, believes Rosenior's men will come out on top at Home Park and snatch that final top-six berth, and set up what looks like a mouthwatering contest against Leeds United.

"They'll know it's out of their hands, and all they can concentrate on is their performance and if they do anything like they've done (against Ipswich), they're gonna have a massive chance of taking three points and then hoping someone slips up," Chambers told Sky Sports. "In terms of their preparation for the game, I think they'll really, really look to look forward to it.

"I think West Brom will drop out, to be honest. I think Hull will go down to Plymouth - Plymouth will have to go after the game to get three points depending on the information they receive throughout the game. I think that Hull, after seeing what I've seen (against Ipswich) and what I saw against Coventry (3-2 win) in the (last) week, I think they've got everything to go and win that game.

"And I think Preston, if Preston turn up the way they have for a lot of this season - they have fell a little bit short, but they're a very, very dangerous team and they'll be going there fancying their chances after seeing West Brom losing three on the spin."
