West Ham star Mohammed Kudus is set to miss Ghana's upcoming international friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda after picking up a knee injury, according to Ryan Taylor.

The Daily Mirror journalist reported via his X account on 20 March that the Ghanaian is nursing a minor injury and therefore will not be involved in either friendly.

The news that the injury is only minor will come as a relief to West Ham given his performances for them, but there will be fears over the latest injury blow to David Moyes' squad.

West Ham and Mohammed Kudus suffer new injury blow This latest injury will come as more of a blow to Ghana and their chances in the upcoming friendlies than it will to West Ham given that it only appears to be minor, but the blow will still be a cause for concern at the London Stadium.

Given the issues the Hammers faced last time their key players picked up knocks, Moyes will be hoping that a rest during the international break will see Kudus return to the Hammers' first team at the earliest possible opportunity.

Knee issues are notoriously tricky to deal with given the severity of potential issues, so news of a knee injury will no doubt be a concern, but with two weeks off following the clash with Aston Villa, he should have time to recover.

This news has emerged amid concerns over both Emerson Palmieri and Maxwel Cornet's fitness and injury issues, and the club will be hoping not to have to add Kudus to the list of absentees awaiting treatment.
