West Ham Academy star Junior Robinson has put pen to paper on a new two-and-a-half-year contract, the club have confirmed.

The Hammers announced via their official website [23 March] that the 19-year-old has earned a new deal at the London Stadium after impressing for Steve Potts' U21s side.

The full-back, who is comfortable playing at wing-back, wide midfield or winger, has been starring at academy level this season and is delighted to have signed a new deal.

Speaking about the contract on Saturday (23 March), Robinson said: "I'm really happy to get another contract with the club I have been at since I was six, so it is a huge moment for me.

"It shows that West Ham has a big trust in me and believes I can make the next step into the first team and hopefully I can show them that I can do that.

Youth plan continues to emerge at West Ham United David Moyes will need to keep one eye on the youth developments at the club, with several players working towards special senior debuts at the London Stadium.

Josh Ajala, Daniel Rigge and Keenan-Appiah Forson are all young players who have been highlighted in recent weeks, either impressing within the youth ranks or out on loan.

Freddie Potts has also shown lots of promise while on loan at Wycombe Wanderers, with the 20-year-old midfielder making 36 appearances and gathering plenty of valuable experience.

Of course, Robinson's main aim will be to be given the opportunity to prove himself at senior level, having been able to call the London Stadium his home for nearly 14 years.
