“Very strong position” | Journalist reveals how Moyes can earn himself a new contract
Source:Thewesthamway

A journalist has claimed that David Moyes needs to do one thing to put himself in a "strong position" for a new contract.

It really is a wonderful yet infuriating time to be a West Ham fan. On one hand, this is the most successful spell the club has had in the modern era. On the other hand, the constant arguing between fans over the Moyes debate is absolutely draining.

The thing is, there is no right or wrong answer, both sides of the debate have extremely fair and valid points. Essentially it boils down to success versus entertainment and whether you can have both.

"The Kalvin Phillips loan is not looking like a good one at the moment," Bridge told GIVEMESPORT. "But then you see the return of Michail Antonio, and West Ham seem to get the best out of Lucas Paqueta when those players come back. Mohammed Kudus has been a brilliant signing as well."

"It could be a case of wait and see over the next few weeks and months when it comes to David Moyes' future, but let's see how they get on against Bayer Leverkusen."

"Leverkusen are probably one of the best teams to watch in Europe this season, but if West Ham can get through over those two games, I really do think it puts David Moyes in a very, very strong position."

Obviously beating a team that is yet to lose a game across all competitions this season is easier said than done, but breaking records is something Moyes has developed a habit of. Who knows what we will see from Moyes across the two legs but beating the German side would put the Hammers in with a real chance of winning back to back European competitions - if that happens then it would be impossible to argue against giving him a new contract.
