West Ham United ace Vladimir Coufal has caught the eye of Besiktas

Besiktas are keen on securing the signing of West Ham United defender Vladimir Coufal during the summer transfer window, according to Fotomac.

The Turkish outlet reported on its website on Tuesday (9 April) that the Turkish giants are searching the market for a new right back and have focused their efforts on the Czech international whose contract expires at the end of the season.

West Ham do have the option to extend the 31-year-old's stay for a further 12 months this summer, but Besiktas are aiming to contact Coufal before the end of the season in an attempt to finish the job and convince him to make the switch.

Will Vladimir Coufal leave West Ham United in the summer transfer window? There is plenty of uncertainty around West Ham at this moment in time, with David Moyes' future up in the air beyond the end of the season along with a number of players who could be set to move on this summer.

While Coufal has supposedly been unhappy with his contract and role at the London Stadium so far this season, it remains to be seen whether or not he would be willing to leave the Premier League to join the Turkish giants.

From the Hammers' perspective, it would be a massive blow to lose the 31-year-old as they are not spoiled with full-back options at this moment in time, especially with Thilo Kehrer and Ben Johnson set to leave permanently this summer.

David Moyes doesn't have many right-back options at West Ham United Losing Coufal on top of that pair would be disastrous for the Hammers and Moyes and those above him have to do everything they can to stop the Czech international from leaving East London for nothing this summer.

The most likely outcome will be that the Irons will activate the extra year on Coufal's deal to stop him from completing the switch for free, but that may not put an end to all interest.
