West Ham United will have to pay "at least" PS21.4million if they're to beat Rennes to the signing of Toulouse striker Thijs Dallinga, according to Jeunes Footeux.

The Hammers target already has 16 goals and five assists across all competitions this season, and at just 23-years-old could be ready-made for the London Stadium.

It is said that the price tag should not put off West Ham, as they look to bring in a new number nine to spearhead their attack over the summer.

West Ham United to seal Thijs Dallinga transfer? West Ham's forward line certainly hasn't been short of goals this season, with Jarrod Bowen and 2023 arrival Mohammed Kudus both in double figures as the run-in approaches.

However, neither player is a conventional striker, with Kudus having excelled on the right-hand side of David Moyes' 4-2-3-1 and Bowen deployed across the front four on his way to 15 Premier League goals.

Bowen, while useful when used in the number nine role, is best when running at defenders from wide positions, and would undoubtedly prefer having a centre-forward ahead of him to link up with.

The pursuit of Dallinga, who won his first cap for the Dutch national team in 2023, makes complete sense, with Michail Antonio and Danny Ings having managed just five goals between them this season.

West Ham Michail Antonio could be on his way out of West Ham United. Dallinga has more than double that number in Ligue 1 alone, and as David Moyes looks to take his side to another level, having played European football for the last three seasons in a row, beating Rennes to the 23-year-old's signature may prove to be the missing piece of the jigsaw.
