West Ham United still need a striker.

After years and years of searching and signing a number of different players, the Hammers still don't have that quality out-and-out number nine to spearhead their attack.

This summer, the Hammers will, once again, be in the market for a striker, and they've now been tipped to sign one of the brightest centre-forwards in the Premier League.

"I'm just not sure Toney's performacnes since coming back from his betting ban have really been good enough to warrant a move that he would want. I think he's far more likely to end up at a West Ham than he is an Arsenal or Chelsea to be honest, and they won't pay him PS250k-a-week," Crook said.

Ivan Toney would be perfect for West Ham Now this is a transfer rumour that West Ham fans can be excited about.

Toney is a proven Premier League goalscorer, and he suits the Hammers' style of play to a tee.

He's strong, he's a nuisance, and what's more is that he's a fantastic finisher.

The Hammers haven't had a proper goalscoring number nine for quite some time, and if they could add Toney to their side, they would be seriously dangerous.

At PS40m, Toney won't be cheap, but, in reality, that is a great deal for a player who hit 20 goals in the Premier League last season.

There's a reason Toney has been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal, and if West Ham can pull this deal off, it would be a serious coup.
