Moyes provides Kudus and Alvarez fitness update ahead of Villa clash
Source:Hammers

David Moyes addressed the media today ahead of the Aston Villa vs West Ham clash on Sunday afternoon.

West Ham head to Villa Park on the back of a decent run of form, and currently sit in seventh spot in the Premier League table, so David Moyes will be more than happy with his team right now.

The Hammers can leap-frog Aston Villa in the table will all three points at Villa Park this weekend.

The one good thing is that Moyes has all of his key players fit for the game, whilst Unai Emery has four important players ruled out through injury.

But what Hammers players are at risk of missing the game tomorrow?

Moyes said:

Without mentioning Kudus and Alvarez by name, it's obvious that he was referring to those two players, considering how far they've had to travel back from international duty with Ghana and Mexico respectively.

Having them both fit and available for selection will be a major boost for the Hammers.

The West Ham players just have to ensure that they are 100% at it from the very first whistle at Villa Park.

I think we'll win the match and will cause them all sorts of problems on the counter attack.

We have the weapons to really hurt Aston Villa. Emery will undoubtedly instruct his side to hit us hard early on, but as long as we can remain solid and tight for the first 20 minutes or so, we should be able to frustrate them and hit them on the counter time and time again.

West Ham haven't lost to Aston Villa since 2015 and we've won five our of our last six meetings with them, so David Moyes will be fairly confident heading into Sunday's game.

I'm going for a 3-1 West Ham win.
