'It's clever': Tim Sherwood thinks Moyes has just sent a cheeky message to the West Ham owners
Source:Hammers

Tim Sherwood has shared something that West Ham United manager David Moyes has just done that is very clever indeed.

West Ham boss David Moyes has done a fine job since returning to the London Stadium, and Tim Sherwood noticed something the Scot said recently that he thinks was a direct message to the club's owners.

The Hammers have begun the 2023/24 season in fine form, both domestically and on the continent.

Moyes recently admitted that he sees the 26-year-old as a centre-forward in the long run.

Most West Ham fans think that Bowen has the attributes needed to become a top class central striker. However, Sherwood believes Moyes had an ulterior motive when he spoke about Jarrod changing positions...

Tim Sherwood thinks David Moyes has just sent a cheeky message to the West Ham owners Sherwood was speaking about Moyes's latest comments on Jarrod Bowen potentially switching positions.

And he shared a really interesting theory he has, when speaking on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday (October 21st, 1:51pm):

That's actually a decent shout from Sherwood to be fair, and it's not too often we've said that is it!

The thing is, I'm not sure Moyes was doing what Sherwood thinks he was. We all know how the Scot likes to convert wingers into centre-forwards.

And I genuinely believe that Moyes would love to have Bowen playing as a striker, as long as he has a top-class right winger in mind to take his place - Mohammed Kudus perhaps?

That's not to say that the Hammers don't need another centre-forward though. Michail Antonio is quite simply not the player he once was, and Moyes has to make an upgrade on him sooner rather than later.

So Tim Sherwood's theory about David Moyes's recent Jarrod Bowen comments was a fair one in my opinion.
