West Ham United have drawn up fresh plans to move for Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush but will face competition from Newcastle United, according to GiveMeSport.

The news outlet reported on Thursday [3 October] that Aston Villa and Newcastle have joined the Hammers in the race for the African ace, with a potential deal lined up for within the next 12 months.

Marmoush's representatives, the CAA Stellar Group, are eager to facilitate a move from Eintracht Frankfurt [TEAMtalk] soon with the Premier League appearing to be the most likely destination.

West Ham United set to enter the market again for a forward After a somewhat successful summer transfer window at West Ham, Tim Steidten will need to enter the transfer market again for a forward.

Niclas Fullkrug joined from Borussia Dortmund to lead the Hammers line this season but, after spending his time playing second fiddle to Michail Antonio, he suffered an injury and will not return to the side until after the international break [ExWHUemployee].

A deal for summer target Jhon Duran now appears to be dead in the water as his goalscoring exploits for Aston Villa this season have seen his value rocket to PS80m [TEAMtalk], which is clearly out of West Ham's reach.

Marmoush, at 25, is significantly younger than his potential German teammate and has started his Bundesliga campaign like a house on fire with six goals and three assists in five appearances.

With Danny Ings, Michail Antonio and Fullkrug at the club, all the Hammers strikers are on the wrong side of 30 and fresh legs will be needed at the London Stadium as the older members of the strikeforce are eased out of the first-team frame.
