Lee Carsley's shocking decision to drop West Ham star shows clear bias towards the big 6.
West Ham have granted England some of their most important players over the years (there's a reason why fans say it's the Hammers who won the World Cup in 1966), and they've continued to do so over recent years.
Unfortunately, while they've not been the biggest victims of it, there is a huge bias from the higher ups towards selecting players from the big 6. All you have to do is look at Solanke, he scored for fun for Bournemouth last season and didn't get a look in, but as soon as he's moved to Tottenham and scored a couple of goals he's been put straight in.
On the other hand, some players who may not be playing as well as last season, but still deserve to be in the squad, are not. Frustratingly, this is the case with Jarrod Bowen.
Whenever he's been selected Bowen has done nothing but good things, showing his versatility to play on the wing or up top during the last international break.
Despite someone like Madueke not having a single goal involvement since the last break, he managed to get in the squad ahead of Bowen. Clearly, this shows there's an agenda towards the big 6, and it's simply not right. He's been one of the Hammers best players despite the struggle and it's a real kick in the teeth that he's been dropped.
