Julen Lopetegui secured a much-needed win as West Ham beat Ipswich 4-1 on Saturday, according to Alan Shearer.
Michail Antonio, Mohammed Kudus, Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta were all on the scoresheet at the London Stadium as the Irons moved up to 12th in the Premier League after four league fixtures without a win.
Lopetegui had started to face a bit of pressure after his side's rocky start to the campaign but Shearer believes the convincing win against winless Ipswich has been a major boost for him and the fans.
Speaking on Match of the Day on Saturday night (5 October), Shearer said: "Big win for [Lopetegui] and for the fans because they would have been under huge pressure if they hadn't have won.
"Thoroughly deserved."
West Ham United back to winning ways as international break starts It was a superb time for West Ham to play Ipswich.
Since winning their shock promotion from the Championship last season, the Tractor Boys have proven difficult to play against.
Even though they're yet to win, they've picked up four draws in seven matches, frustrating the likes of Aston Villa, Brighton and Fulham.

Bowen was on fire, Antonio rolled back the years, Kudus was being Kudus and even Paqueta managed to get what will hopefully be a confidence-boosting goal after a tough start to the campaign.
Lopetegui needed that win as much as anyone though. There have been early calls for him to be sacked but that's bound to not happen now - at least.
In other West Ham news, Jamie Redknapp has called this Hammers star "terrible".
